What a close-up of this wasp, Tom. I would never have been able to steady the camera while holding a giant can of Raid in my other hand. :)

That big fellow has plenty of those little yellows to feed on. It's no wonder it so big. Great capture though.

Tom, as far as I know, in my area we don't have the dark or northern paper wasp.
