Another one in which I used Nathan's jewel tutorials! The basic wallpaper was one I made before, Misty Blossom Spider, but I did my best to bring out the blossom, gave the spider a little movement in Photoshop Elements, then added a gradient. Great fun.

Initially I tried to do a spider with a jewel of a spider with a jewel of a spider with a jewel... but it looked awful. Might try again another time, but for now it seems that less is more.

'Les's is more? Indeed I am. :oP

Just kidding.

Tootles, once again ... taking the return tour of your galleries you are posting some very, very nice imagery.

The colour palette of your offering here is a strong element in and of itself. Quite inviting to the viewer's eyes, methinks ... and echoed in the above comments.

Well balanced design, and you succeeded in creating some dynamics with your piece.

The only caveat that I have is with the top reflection of your jewel. Perhaps, some softening of it's edges would be the solution.

That said ... I really like the diagonal division of light and dark from lower to upper right corner.

Oh, almost forgot ... plastic wrap filter on the spider itself? Think that that filter in PS would aid in the dimensionality of the Caedes spider and compliment the jewel and it's own reflection that little bit more.

That said ... nice work. :o)
