In memory of Verena... she will be very much missed. I talked with her only a little, but she struck me as a kind lady with a love for the best things in life.
Among other things, she loved bright colours and flowers. I was going to make her a blue abstract, but then realized I had this photograph, taken in my garden the same day she passed away. In Photoshop Elements I used gradients to bring a touch of the rainbow to the rose.
