Les kindly allowed me to post this version of his Apophysis wallpaper, Warmth.

I used Photoshop CS5 with adjustment filters as well as the following filters:

Chrome
Find Edges

Also layer masks to:

(1) protect the green when using Colour Balance
(2) give a muted hue change effect across the lower corner of the image
(3) same layer mask as in (2) to brighten that corner a little more

After that I had a number of swings between liking the result and hating it (I don't think I'm through yet)... and, having decided to post it, had to remind myself this isn't my wallpaper and doesn't require a signature. :-)

If I recall correctly.. you used the descriptor 'decorative'. And that is more than fitting and apt for your version here, Tootles.

To my eyes.. the fractal has now taken on a glassine and stained glass look.

As mentioned.. this could be the jumpstart to resurrecting the "Apophysis Challenge".

I'll take a look around in my Apophysis folder and see what parameters I can come up with for peeps to mess around with.

Stay tuned.

That said..

You've certainly given me a wake up call to push the boundaries some more on the note of colours, et al. And for that.. I thank you once again.

Thanks for sharing the whats and how tos and of course, your creativity with us. :o)

Very regal like stained glass in an opulent palace. Beautiful!
