After much indecision about who should upload the reworked image, I am uploading this rework I did of Darryl's original image (Roam Free). He took this wonderful photograph and I simply removed the fence for him. I think the horses look rather suspicious standing around like this with no fence but it was a fun edit :). Also, here is a simple animation showing the transition from the original image to this one. Hope this helps the rework gallery get off the ground~

brilliant you wouldn't know it was there if you saw just this - however the horses do look a little lost
i think it looks better with the fence but you get 10/10 for a brilliant peice of work

The first image was so charming with that white fence it's hard to realize this one, but it isn't hard to realize your talent here Josh. Fine job and I really enjoyed the animation as well. This should be a fun gallery. ;) High votes for all your effort.

Absolutely wonderful edit. The horses may look lost but regardless of that the fact that you were able to make the fence totally disappear with no trace of it at all is amazing. You are one very talented person.

Well, all I can say is, "How the @#%$*@# did you do that?!?!" Did you create the missing bits of the horses freehand? Using other photos as a guide? Or perhaps pasted from other images?? Tutorial please!!!

I am impressed...

Thanks a million everybody! I'm still overwhelmed by all this positive feedback.

Sam...

I had to draw the missing parts of the horses using cloned color from what you could see in the original image. The hardest part of that was the horse whose nose was obscured by the fence (and probably the weakest part of the edit since I am not much of a freehand artist). All I had around to look at was my picture (Summer Magic) of a different horse. All things considered I think it turned out pretty well but I'll bet someone else could do a nicer job with that nose. As well as my memory serves me the only tools used on this edit were a clone brush and a smudge brush (for smoothing the colors on the horse bodies). I also used a quick clarifying filter and a run through neat image to clean up the slight grain of the original sky a bit. I really don't know what I could do to make a tutorial out of it since it was mostly just freehand brushing. I thought the animation was the best way to show the relationship of the two pictures. I'm really glad everyone liked it and I hope to see more reworks for the new gallery soon!

I agree with Sam 100 per cent, I'm impressed but totally confused. There has to be a lot of freehand work here because the jaw and belly lines aren't there for you to clone from

Most Excellent....for two things. The mastery of how you removed that fence and made and animation for it to see it done was...well...wow! Are you a teacher...if not you should be. And for the second....Great Photo....cool sky :-)

and i thought "raptor away" was tough, when i first saw this i thought you had reworked the colours in the sky, then i read the comment and had a closer look and still the only bits that looked out of place werent actually covered by the fence in the original photo, in other words, very good work
