This is a lovely capture of this beautiful bird. I like how you have caught it with its tail feathers splayed out. Also I like the bark of the tree which adds to the capture. You have a good eye for a good shot, and this is further proof of that!

Hey there Mister Madman, wat'cha know that I don't know
Tell me some crazy stories, let me know who runs this show
Glassy-eyed and laughing, he turns and walks away
Tell me what made you that way
I just love these birds, and not only because they are so colorfull but also because they are vegetarians. Wonderfull bird and photo this is, thanks for the post.
Wow, these are beautiful birds. I owned one of these - an Indian Ringneck Parakeet. This looks like a female. They are aviary birds - more for breeding than for befriending like a Grey or a Cockatoo. Fiercely protective of their nest and babies they scream SOO loud! Mine never talked and I think was miserable without a mate. Lovely post Toto! I cannot imagine seeing these as 'birds in the trees'! ~Mary~
Great shot! Love the colors, it looks very naturally done, The tail on display, the eye gives him a look of determination. I wish these birds flocked here, all we get are the standard grey seagulls.
