This was taken on Naxos island, Greece. You can see the sun setting behind the ruins of god Appolo's ancient temple.

Beautiful. I usually don't like a lot of poeple in the shot but they fit here. They give you some sense of the scale of the ruins. And your title is right. Those stones have had that same view for centuries.

Gorgeous shot. That sun simply burns in the sky! There is something so mysitcal about ancient relics and this shot conveys that wonderfully. Great job!

I agree with Julius, very poetic. It looks just nighe from perfect, I think that if you'd positioned the sun inside the "gate" it would've blown this on off the scale.
