This Picture was taken on the Bruce Trail in Ontario, Canada. I entered it in a contest at my school, the picture had to represent The Bruce Trail, out of 350 students 3 pictures were chosen, mine was one of them.
Amazing photograph. The dark to light is a wonderful contrast. You captured it beautifully. Stands up to the old saying "I can see the light". Thank you.
Nicely captured, at first it seemed a bit to dark for my taste, but an amazing amount of detail from the forest floor was picked up. I just needed a minute to see how very well done this was!
"'Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in a pretty
and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming,
"WOW! What a ride!"'
G'day Lisa,
I can't see how you could have got this shot without either the sky over exposed or the forest totally dark, I think you choose well, the bleached out sky does not dominate the photo and the darkness with detail of the forest has great mood and evocative power. That ground is a whole narrative all on it's own, great texture.
