When visiting the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai, the Macedonian treasures we viewed were outstanding. It boggles the mind seeing such outstanding creations, it truly lifts one's spirits to see how unique and beautiful these are. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

Vicki, when I viewed your very interesting picture and have read your narrative, I was curious about the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai in Vergina, Greece. So I searched the net for more information, and have found THIS.
After viewing and reading this information, I also realized that with a single post/contribution it's almost impossible to convey the impressiveness of the tombs and everything related to them to the viewers. In any case, thank you for your brave attempt and thank you also for arousing my curiosity.

A few years ago, a visiting lady sprayed these tombs leaving blotches on 10 of the tombstones. This one is one of those ten I believe. It appears that the tombstone has been successfully cleansed, for which we all can rejoice in.

I cannot make out the inscription on this stone, but I bet it says, "Leroy was here!" ;)

Macedonia is where Alexander the great was born I believe. Lots of history. I so enjoy seeing this Vicki.
