I have been fascinated as to how the first stick stays in place when building the nest. I watched for hours as this couple began their nest. It was completed in one day.

Interesting to see them actually building their nest together.I like the low light in this photo and the grey background because it is an enhancement in this case and places attention on the birds constructing the nest.Great photo!.Faving this!

I'm fascinated with the team work the egrets display as well. What a wonderful image. Lighting and detail are beautiful. Love the perspective.

I think I shall have to have a folder especially for the Great Egrets from Louisisana! Oh these are gorgeous. Are they male and female? And is there a distinct way to tell? Their colour both being white...and all. You really got some fantastic shots of these lovelies. Vivianne, I am going to enjoy these so much.
They would be worth framing for you and selling them,maybe even to the Audabon Society? Totally precious photos. Verena
