Two boys are scurrying to get to shore before dark. The water that is seen in this photo is merely the overflow of the Mississippi regular channel on to the batture (look it up in the dictionary or google it). That is why the willow trees are there. Believe me, the River is too wide, too deep and too swift when it reaches me in Louisiana to have anything growing in it.

This is really a eye popper Colleen. It looks like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn are coming ashore after a days' shenanigans. Mark Twain would be proud. I really like the cloud gliding by the sun. Silhouettes are really good. Good post.

I wish I could be those two boys, it looks like so much fun. Like Tick said Tom, and Huck all the way. Very nice shot. The water looks pretty high, it looks like bushes are in the water too.
