With nothing but this yellow handrail between me and billions of gallons of rushing Mississippi River water, I rode out on this small railcar to where the trees are. The railcar travels the length of the Bonnet Carre' Spillway structure and I was taken out by a member of the Corps of Engineers. Notice the death grip on the rail. I was glad I did it but doubt that I would ever do it again.

I look forward to some shots from where the trees are Colleen. I can't see your knuckles but they must be really white judging from your description. It is nice to meet you.
Is this one of those "no egrets" photos? :)

It's nice to meet you Coleen. I'm glad you hung on, that don't look like a good place to be going for a swim. Hang in there and take care.

Wonderful to see you Coleen. Looks like a pulse raising ride so close to the edge. Yet you appear very relaxed enjoying all those gallons of rushing river. I feel anxiety just looking at it! Thank you for sharing your adventures.

Wow, I forgot how wide the ol' Mississippi is! We have the Columbia River that paved the way for Lewis and Clark and all the Pioneers, and it is huge at some areas, but not like this Miss. I love the photo of you, it's so nice to meet you. V

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called. ~A.A. Milne
