Built in the 1800's it resembles the beautiful steamboats that once sailed the Mississippi River.This was once the main house of a thriving sugar cane plantation and was before the government taxed you out of everything you made. It is all part of My Louisiana. It is now owned by a corporation and is open for daily tours.

Now that's what I call a pretty house.

I can see that it was owned by a rich family, because of the style that it is build in, very beautiful.

What a great angle you chose Colleen. I can see the resemblance of the steamboats. I like the blue sky with the arms/limbs of the tree stretching out. They look almost fur covered. Great composition.
