Seldom do I get up this early anymore except to capture the world in all its splendor and majesty. We left home at 3:30 a.m. to arrive at Elmer's Island on the Gulf of Mexico near Grand Isle to capture the early morning splendor.

Deep, dark colors and a wonderful star! This is a stunning capture~the stillness before the world awakens and begins it's day!

I really like dark photos and this is that Colleen. Just enough light to keep me from falling off the end of the earth. Scenes like that make it worth while to get up early.

Very nice.

I only get a "20" on this. I got up at 2:30 and left home at 3:30; drove 2 hours to the Gulf of Mexico and a "20"???'It doesn't matter, I don't understand this scoring anyway.

It must have been sooooooo peaceful!! I rarely am up early either. But it looks to me like it was well worth it for you to capture this lovely sunrise! Nicely done. Verena
