It looks so real. My grandson thought it looked like Monster House the way it's trying to draw you in. I assume Jerry Mathes as "The Beaver" doesn't reside there. Excellent work Wendy.
"Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." ~Dorothea Lange
I saved this wonderful view immediately! Talk about a mysterious entry way. I would go in! The lighting, colours, shadows, are excellent. I think we're being called to enter. Works well on the desktop - thanks Wendy!
I like this a lot Wendy, a great 3D photo, the c-index will climb on this, just be patient. The colors are great and that open door is a great effect. Very well done.
I just looked through the "comment requests" threads on Discussion board, and landed up at this picture and had to look. And I can ask the same question.. why the low CI?? This is really very nice.. and definately does not deserve such a low C Index.. Maybe unfortunately landed up in People's VB's that don't like this kinda work... Well done on this one..
So you're asking why the c-index seems so capricious and arbitrary? No one knows, yet evryone seems to have low c-indices. I suggest you ignore it, and post what you want.
Ignore the c-index Wendy, this image is worth more. The week points are probably the texture in the door frame and the treatment in the path, which don’t look as realistic as everything else. The textures and colour in the weatherboards and the foliage are very good. Sometimes I wish I could create images this way.
I agree with +trisbert. This is a keeper. I love the eeriness this portrays. I don't know if I would want to go any further or not. I will not be tempted by the door ajar. I value my life too much. LOL.
