I was about to say the same thing. This is indeed beautiful and it would be nice if it could be viewed larger.

What a beautiful old gate and it looks stunning in the snow. I think I would have captured both posts, although the ironwork on the center portion is absolutely gorgeous. I would love to know the history of this one.

What a fancy gate. If it could be a little larger I could make it my wallpaper.

Wow that's pretty! Looks like something out of an old Sherlock Holmes episode. (the ones with Jeremy Brett).
I like the angle on this, gives it depth. I also like the detail of colors on it. You can see the different shades of some of the colors, like the slightly differently shaded areas on the pillars on either side of the gate itself. Very nicely done!
