You're coming along very nicely, Andrew! I like this flame very much! Did you know that you can adjust the position of the flame in Apophysis? That's what I would suggest with this flame - - moving it to the left to center it more. You can also make it bigger or smaller in the "adjust" menu, though I don't know that I would change the size. Anyway, I really like this flame. Pretty texture...nice color....good work!

Actually, I really like the framing. If anything, it should be a but more in the corner. It looks so smooth. The color, again, like wheat, speaks of no harm or ill emotion, just placidity. Awesome job. :-)

Quite nice render I'd say. I've never had a go at Apophysis but I'm quite sure I would not do as good as this in my first couple of tries. BTW, centered composition is usually quite boring so you did the right thing here. Like Luke (stuffnstuff) said you could have been even more in the corner with the design.
What can I say, you've surpassed your cousin's skill, now I feel bad and now I have some family competition here. Looks very nice and good place for the image, great color too.
I do like this! The position you placed the flame is very interesting. The browns look very nice compared to a very colorful flame. Nice work on this and this is going into my favorites!
Whaddya mean Painful Pleasures! What are you, some kind of sicko! ROFL, just kidding, nice image Andrew, especially for your second try. Hang in there, you're doing great. =]
