Taken this past summer in the newly named Great Sand Dunes National Park in Southern Colorado. The sand dunes are the tallest in North America at 750ft+ , the mountains in the background are the Sangre de Cristo Mountains which soar to over 13,800-14,000ft.

Another excellent capture of the beauty of Colorado. The dunes appear very smooth & the shades of the mountains with the sky are awesome. Thank you :))

At first I thought, there is no way that this could be real. But it is, and it is awesome! This is an amazingly clear photo. Wonderfully done. 10/10, in my favorites, and a new one for my desktop!

It has been a while, and you're back with a bang. The sharp line between the dunes and the green ground is suprising. Wonderful shadows.

Beautiful photo, Michael. Great contrast between the layers of landscape. This is the first I've seen from you in awhile. Some of your photos were what attracted me to Caedes in the first place. Great to have you posting again.

Good capture Micheal, I like the shadows the best. The big contrast shows the height and also places the foreground in a almost surreal place.

Especially the sharpness of the dunes and their juxtaposition to the blue mountains. Amazing. Thank you for posting!

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

What an unusual sight; sand dunes & lush greenery. The various textures/touches make this shot too spectacular. Especially the dunes. Wonderful work.
