I count 10 gradations of color in the mountain ranges, including the one we are standing on, as we absorb this beautiful view of yours, Janelle. I used to try to create this sort of thing on canvas, many years ago (long before digital cameras), but to little success. Our modern technology allows us to travel throughout the world, thanks to intrepid photographers like you, trekking far out into the wilds to bring us these images (or is there actually a parking lot behind you? :o) A very nice shot - one that I'm sure Sharon will enjoy.
Thank you, Janelle, so much for such a lovely Get Well card! Those Idaho Mountains look a lot like the Wallowas in Oregon, which have so many happy memories for me. I'm home at last (7 weeks in a hospital and I was going nutso)! Will be in a wheelchair for several months; so I'm learning how to do normal things like feed the dog and put in a wash...from half-way up!:)
You were so thoughtful to dedicate this lovely pic for me. I really can't thank you enough.
I hadn't seen this one, but it's a great get well shot for Sharon! How thoughtful. Love the composition with the tree off to the side and the mountains in the background.
All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>
