..from my zoo at home.. My kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula californiae) Morgan, outside his cave, getting ready to attack his prey (a mouse). This guy is about 3½ years old, aprox 1 m and 83 cm long and 7 cm in diameter. He is a hybrid and got red, orange and black colors.

Amazing how these critters digest every part of the mouse except the hair. Thanks for posting.

Snakes scare me, but this is still a great shot. The textures (especially those on the snake) are amazing!
