this red onion decided to sprout before we got to it and looked just like the picture, I didn't move a thing.

They do that in my kitchen, too. Never thought to take a picture. I usually plant them in the garden.

This is an excellent still life. Good cross lighting coming from a window? I especially like the overall soft lighting with no harsh shadows. this is a 10+

Nice eye for the colors and how you arranged the lighting against the main subject. Shows that you can find good photos almost anywhere.

This image has great potential. The image is grainy and that adds to the impact. The main subect is dead center. Try moving it so that the onion sets at one of the third intersect points.
The rule of thirds is that you take the image and divide it into thirds, both vertically and horizontally and wherever the lines intersect is a good place to put your main subject. Try it; I think you will like the results.
