I was asked to comment. A nice idea behind this one, but it is overexposed and not well focused. I would suggest a tripod be used for your flower shots.

You had a great idea for composition and captured some good detail on the center of the flower and the pollen.

I Like to colors but I agree, perhaps a little to the rear would have been better.

I'm certainly no expert and am amazed by some of the photography on this site. I reviewed your gallery and am sad to say that I think that "Up close and personal" is not your best effort. I tend to agree with the comments posted by Tigger3 as noted above. You do have some great shots in your gallery. I like "Running Down", "Sunday Stroll" and "Sweden's Mirror Lake" the best.

I'm not partial to photos of flowers although I've taken my share. I'm not sure that a tripod is really necessary. Macro shots are very tough, and I do like the detail showing the pollen.
