A very interesting macro shot due to the cropping. At first I thought a deeper DoF would have been better, but on looking at the picture more I find the lack of focus on the petals adds to the atmosphere.

I've never been one for flower pics, but the work of some on this website has broadened my horizons. I can't tell you why I like this, I think it's the softness of the light makes the red so deep. Also, there's nothing else to look at, so it commands your attention. Very soothing and hypnotic.

A beguiling macro view of this tulip. Wonderful textures, especially the feather like appearance on the petals. Delightful tomato red color - just wish alittle more of the tulip was shown. A fine tranquil vision :^)
