The overexposed area is too dominant in my opinion. Had the potential for a nice fine art photograph...I agree with the above comment that b/w was the right choice for the subject.

And I have to agree with Rick. The contrasts between the background and the foreground might be corrected in computer software.

Agree with all of the above. I also love the reflection of water behind the wood, it almost goes unnoticed at first glance. Nice use of BW.
