this one was fading fast so i had to catch it quickly. it was right near my house in louisiana. i have a "portrait" version of it which i think is a better version with a little more contrast especially in the sun, but for a wallpaper this one works better.

It's so rare to see a sunset picture that portrays the rays projecting in such an equal manner. The one that is directed up toward the sky is almost perfectly straight, and the two directed out on either side of the sun, are pretty much as precisely placed as the first. I know you didn't go order the sunset that way (or if you did, please give me the address...:)), but you certainly saw it and captured it. The sun itself is presented here with no glare just as it slips down into that dark cloud of night. I won't be much longer :) I can't get over how there isn't a ripple in the water to mar the reflection..not even one. I don't think I've ever seen that happen before, and I usually like to see some rippling effect, but this is so unusual that it can't help but captivate and delight the viewer.
