In winter they lower Priest Lake in my area. I shot this Christmas morning. I liked the shape and feel of the piece later friends and family keep asking where did I find ET.

That's a very interesting piece of wood you've found there. Nice job with the colors including that little spot of sunlight hitting the top of the log. I like the ripple in the water in the background. I wonder if offsetting the log a little further to the right might not make for a more interesting composition.

Yes, I see what you mean about offsetting the log, at the time I really was more concerned with photographing my grandson. Doing anything else with photos, at the time, I'm limited with the ability to enhance somewhat and crop. I'm still in the learning stage. Thank you for the interest and suggestion.
