This is such a wonderful nature area. I love going here for photographing and just getting away from the hussle and bustle of life. This ditch was full of water when it was photographed. Further down is a series of small rapids (ok a bit of an exageration, but you get the idea). I hope you enjoy this one. For me it captures peace and tranquility. Also wanted to add that this is not reworked in any way. Just a raw image. I am overseas at this time and have no access to any of my editing programs.

Seems like a tranquil place. Good for resting. Nice shades of green.

Hello, Joey....

You popped up in my "comment request" section; so I'll do my best. I'm not one of those "nice shot" comment people. In fact, I've commented on a few of your previous shots; so for all I know, you already hate my guts. But here goes nonetheless.

I agree with the "peace and tranquility" portion of your narrative. This looks like a beautiful spot although the brown water reminds me just a little too much of mosquitoes. I've never had much luck shooting in such contrasting light and dark conditions. With no software available to you, I can see we share some of the same problems with contrasting light conditions. I like the reflections you've captured here. There are many nice colors. I guess there are only two things that bother me. The first is the slight overexposure, and the second is that palm frond poking out in the mid-left edge of the shot.

On a 1 to 10 scale, this is a solid 6. I see above that I'm more generous than the morons who gave this a C-Index of 19. To me that means that many people gave this a 1 and most people gave it a 2. That's complete crap, if you'll excuse my french.

This photo offers rippled reflections as the center of interest, which is a great idea, and they are particularly attractive at the photo's lower 20%. The brown in the water and the overexposure in the background don't do any favors to the composition though and, although it may just be my feeble eyes, the photo seems slightly tilted to the right. The aura of calmness is well conveyed.
