A fine capture of this bird but the composition needs some work. Zoom or crop to have more of the subject in the frame and review the rule of thirds. Everything is too centered. Overall a good image idea. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I thought that might be California! I like the strong contrast of the bright red against the background. It's kind of humorous with his stance so haughty! The focus could be a little better on the gull but all and all it's an enjoyable pic. I like it.
