Wow .. ..quite a different view (bugs eye?) on that lily.
I like this .. it is quite abstract. Did you do some post processing with the colour saturation?
The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. - Brooks Anderson
niiiiice
this time the dof really works for you, theres no dilema at all
youve taken advantage of the natural digaonals to give us some other than a rectalinear image, youve got an approximate diagonal 1/3rds going on, cool
the stark detail and saturation of the petals work superbly against the must softness of the (lack of) detal and subtle colour of the stamens
as a dfferent version maybe try to crop so that the center of the flower is off center in the image see how that works again leading the eye to the golden mean or 1/3rds ... however rules are made to be tested and broken
I love the shot except for the one stamen jutting out on the right which is out of focus. I find that to be very distracting. But the color and detail in the petals is extremely well done.
Thanks to all who comment on pictures in my gallery. Please accept my apologies if I am unable to thank you each time, and please don't feel obligated to thank me for my comments.
