another Lilly from this past summer not too sure how i feel about this one, i think the colors are a bit too strong and i dont like the focus...thoughts?

Actually the focus works to direct the attention to the ant. This variety of lily has pretty strong colors, if I remember correctly. Personally, I like the vibrant contrast and composition.

nice!! I think a tighter crop would make you feel happier about it. The fact that there is background to the bloom makes the viewer unsure as to the focal point .. the flower .. or .. an ant in a colourful universe. I played around locally and you can get good 1600x12000 view ..IMHO..
