Forgive the repeat return to the river railroad! Another unplanned pit stop.. Driving over the high rise bridge that is above I saw colored streaks of clouds that were previously unseen in the horizon... A high rise bridge is above this public boat launch. The sounds barreling from it adds to the crazy atmosphere... interrupting the solitude. I'm currently training my eyes to a new monitor so any help whether too dark or bright will be most appreciated.

Liz, I have two monitors, this one at home, and my monitor at work. My pictures do not completely look the same from my home computer monitor to the posting on Caedes and even more different on the lesser monitor at work. So, I can only suggest that if it looks good on your monitor, run with it. By the way, "R&R" knocked my socks down. What an excellent shot!

Looks fine here...(Realistically) I use an older monitor with gamma adjusted, so that what I see...is very close what will print on my printer @ 300 dpi...

I can't judge because this laptop monitor is very dull. Much like me. :) A wonderful post.
My computer went belly up and I won't have a new one until Friday. The monitor on this laptop makes every thing look dull so I will return to give it a true look.

Great to see you posting again! I can't help you on color because I am coping with a laptop (and coming to understand why people like a lot of color in a desktop). Love the composition on this one...the reflections form interlaced V's.

I'd say the lighting looks just right. I'm enjoying the mix of rich & subtle colors in this sunset scene. Beautiful reflections too. Nicely captured Elizabeth.

Nice sunset photograph Liz, the luminance levels appear okay but this shot makes for a poor example.

Again ,your eye for a composition is evident here..It`s bold and brave using towers and power lines in a photo , something that you are able to put together so very well.The colors and reflections make it all so beautiful.This looks just fine on my monitor/desktop.Keep your monitor settings right in the middle so that your editing will be honest.What kind of monitor did you get ?...Fav

Do not apologize for the return. I think we all have our favorite spots. I really like the outline of the bridge and the reflections in the water are unreal. It looks like a mirror.
