A revisit to Bennett Bayou late Feb. The bare tree to the far right is the same tree the crazy pelican was sitting in a previous post. Those pigeons are regulars to both bare trees. They used to fly off as soon as I drove near, now they barely seem to mind. Needless to say I don't waste time walking under them. I almost cloned the deck but decided to leave it. Most of these bayous are not only affected by precipitation but also tides. It's interesting to note the changes in smell, birds, wildlife. Sometimes a river tour boat picks up passengers here.

Hi Elizabeth
It really looks like a great place to go and enjoy the outdoors and take some pictures. That deck would be a great vantage point. Beautiful shot!

I really enjoy the Bayou photos and your descriptions E~. It looks like a perfect place to clear the cobwebs even if you walk through one. Wonderful composition and the colors are so natural.

A beautiful place and a well composed shot Elizabeth. That deck looks like a great place to setup a tripod, pull up a chair and wait for some birds to come by. Luv the colours and clarity in this image. Excellent work.

I take it that you are very tuned in to the place from what you said. That is what the photography hobby will do because it gets us out in to nature and makes us aware and focused. It is a beautiful place and you captured it so well.I like the depth that was achieved with those clouds in the back.

You have always blended your colors so very well. You are a very good mixer again on this one. The blues are fantastic. I also like that wooded walkway along the right side.

I'm going back someday
Come what may
To Blue Bayou
Where the folks are fine
And the world is mine
On Blue Bayou.
I can see why you keep returning Elizabeth!

I think that walkway is important because of the scale it gives the photo and the old weathered gray fits nicely with the other weathered wood in the shot.
