Civil War, I bet. We have them in Virginia as well. I wouldn't be surprised if you were on a battlefield or near one when you shot this. Looking around, I see you've captured a squirrel's nest in the background. I've been meaning to do that!

Nothing takes you back to the Civil War as much as cannons do. WE have a few around here too. Very nice shot. I like the slight view of the town over the hill. Very nice.

I like the view and the old cannons look like the ones we have here in Sweden at old castles and fortresses. Very nice shot!

Beautiful photo contrasting the menace of cannons in an ultra-calm setting. I believe it would look even more dramatic and forward-looking with additional space on the right and less behind the cannons. That would also remove the bit of lamppost on the left edge that is, alas, neither in nor out. The blue tint of the background adds a great sense of depth!
