Interesting tree roots I discovered on a hike through Cook Forest. They grow right on top and around giant boulders.

I am surprised that the tree is not so thick but it has such long wandering roots. The ground there is barren and so they must go searching I suppose! Good shot, Ami.

I detect a little Norton on this one Ami. Looks good. Some of the designs on the rocks look like hieroglyphics. It may be just a tad bright but a very good scene. Content is really good. The roots look like hands holding on to the ground. Very nice post.

Definitely interesting! I do like the variety of textures, but notice there is a purplish cast to the tree trunk & roots. The white balance may be a little off due to the over-exposure. Some playing around in color balance or levels may correct this. Other than that I'm enjoying this scene very much. Nice post & thank you for sharing.

This is a really cool shot Ami. I suppose the survival instinct even applies to trees. Their is alot of great textures and shapes going on.

Like the post production on this one - it comes across like an illustration. Perhaps a bit bright in the bright bits.

Nice textures and colors on this one. They say the roots will stretch out as far as the branches do...must be a might big trees. Great capture and post.

Availability of deep water vs surface water sometimes determines the root system...or maybe the root system is more prominient where the soil will erode. Interesting scene!

Wow, that tree sure has a lot of roots Ami, great detail and colours.

Sorry for the delay, been in Las Vegas but I'm back now. Have so many to look at so don't know if I'll be able to catch up. May not comment on all of them.

Another snow storm hit and very high winds & we're still in snowsquall warnings. Will winter ever end up north?
