Sunset? What sunset? All I see is a flying saucer landing in the trees. LOL. Nice shot, Ami.

Going to jump in here with a thought, hope you don't mind Ami.

Came across this image of Ewa's, aka ekowalska ... wherein, 'in a pinch', as they say ... she literally used her sunglasses to filter the sun, I believe.

Not sure what or how you filtered the sunlight here, perhaps a suggestion to keep in mind for the future then.

I think you did an admirable job here.

That said, and I hope you don't mind me stating a caveat ... it is not so much the intensity of the sun, as it may be the center placement of that might be more problematic on a compositional note. In my humble opinion, of course.

Offsetting and having shifted your camera to either side ... would allow for your viewer's eyes to rest on the good detail, colour et al ... that you did capture.

/\ Just some thoughts, that's all. And you may very well disagree with them, and I can respect that.

Interesting effect in the final analysis. And good on you for having spotted the photographic opportunity, adjusting/editing(?) and presenting it to us. :o)

I like the silhouettes and the sky behind the trees. The sun's glare is a bit harsh - Otherwise this is a good shot Ami. I agree with Les above.

Hi Ami, I think you shouldn't have more light otherwise it would hurt the eyes. I think it is a good photo although I like your skies with the soft colours more. But Ami I respect a lot that you have the guts to take a picture like this.. Compliments : ) Mich

Ami these are really hard shots to take and you did a very good job of it. I like the shadows of the trees and the soft colors of the sky. The solor effect is pretty cool. Great post.
