Another beautiful sculpture in front of the Hillman Cancer Center~I cropped it to get a closeup(and softened it a bit because the bronze was so harsh under the light)Not sure about it now. "The men and women in this circle symbolize the community of caregivers within this institution. They are connected by the ribbons of time. The man in the center represents Today's Research and the child is the Future lifted by the work of previous generations." Sculpter:Tuck Langtand

This is so Cool Ami, I like it. Yes bronze is a really hard subject to catch just right, but I really love the tones in this.

This would be a fabulous shot maybe shown in the full, not cropped, for our dear friend Cornelius & his wife going through some really tough times right now.

If you look at this in the largest size, it appears a little soft, but one size down and it starts getting sharper. Anyway you look at it, it's a nice shot.

I am not totally sure about if it is a sharp photo, because you cropped it and made it more soft. But : ).. such wonderful post Ami.. The man looks for me like Sean Connery. On the other hand it looks very nice soft like this.. Mich

I think this must have been a difficult subject to photograph! First, bronze has warm tones, which you've captured beautifully, but it can go all bumpy on you because of the shadows on copper/bronze are so much darker than those from gold or silver or ivory. Also the figures themselves would be hard... seeing the cropped version makes me want to see that entire "circle" the girl is holding, and if I saw the full version, I'd want to see their faces better! Great subject and kudos to you for trying it!

I think you did real well with the bronze statue Ami. You get a gold medal for the bronze. Does that make sense? Good info and foto. (IF)

A good job on capturing the bronze sculpture, Ami. I'd like to see it full size without the crop. Thanks for the info.

A good shot of the bronze sclpture, maybe a little too soft for me. But none the less a very good capture. Lyn.

Nice capture of the bronze statue Ami and thanks for the explanation. Symbolic speaking I hope that by the time the child gets to the age of the man the research would have produced a cure for cancer.
