The old sayings says not to eat any mushrooms on wood. I haven't, so I don't know the consequences. You can feast your eyes on them like this, but let you stomach growl.

I had one very similar looking last year growing by a tree stump in my back yard. Nice shot, Ami. Actually, it came back this year, but for some reason did look as healthy.
