Nice shot. If I can offer a suggestion I would have cropped the photo so the bird was more in the centre so that it becomes the focus. It is a shame you weren't able to catch it flying a little bit higher so we could see some more definition. I hope you don't mind my comments. Overall, though, a good capture.

Good for you! I have a LOT of shots of blurred birds flying, birds flying mostly out of the shot, birds still on the ground when they were supposed to fly.... I agree about cropping, and once that is done, you could go ahead and blur the foreground and background more...and maybe "lighten dark areas" just a little... if you have enough pixels for it all, that is!

I like the wing position in this shot as well as being able to see a beetle of some sort in the talons. I agree that cropping to center the bird would be an improvement. A dark frame might also be nice.
