I like the dramatic shadows of the buildings across the way and the overhanging clouds in this one. I do find the blurred pier posts in the foreground to be distracting (although on closer look, I think the "blur" must come from raindrops on your camera lens). I'm not a big fan of slanting buildings when there is no drama to convey...in this case the clouds are the dramatic source. Could sharp focus (except for the raindrops) all the way back. Lovely time for a shot...the sun is still shining out of part of the sky.

I really like the treatment you've used on this shot. It reminds me of some of Edward Hopper's paintings, one of my favorite American artists, only with more clarity.

The pinks and lilacs and the soft focus make this really magical.
More Canaletto than Hopper, I would have thought ;-]
