Hey everyone, This piece i made for my mom last year...These are all my brothers and sisters..Firstly theres Estelle, then Ellis my brother, then Elizabeth, Then Ellen, Then Edward then incase you havent already clocked on thats me on the floor "Emily"...Yes our names all begin with "E" lol...dont ask! I should also mention that there is another addition and thats baby Edward, but we have not had another picture since he came along! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to comment. Note: When viewing fullscreen, a lot of the image has been cut off!?!

Definitely a family resemblance! :) The wide aspect suits the shape of the group but maybe not quite so close to the top of Ellis' head. The additional noise/dots didn't work for me but it is a consistent stylistic choice with it's own emotional tone.

The B/W usage and in my perspective the filter you've applied is not required, it's something useless to a perfect picture.

Okay, so people keep asking why a filter? The image itself is terrible quality, The filter was used to disgiuse this flaw.

Well I like the black and white and the composition - It's difficult arranging people just so for a photo. It is kind of stark - not a "warm fuzzy" family portrait, but then I think you captured a certain mood that way.

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

I've tried to take family portraits before and I've not seen one this good for a while.
I usually end up taking many many shots to get enough material together that I can concoct a decent group.
What was your secret to getting baby Edward perfectly posed?
