I was asked to comment, so I will just say that this is a bit strange to me, not quite sure what to think about it.

What ever happened to the good ol' days?
I think you chose the right angle, and the statue itself is really nice. your manipulations make it more interesting, as the surrounds would otherwise be dull and boring - like the building in the background. so i think you have done a good job considering what you had to work with.
