Fractals are a style of artwork that I am only slowly learning to appreciate. We, as a species, are entering a new universal age, and each age generates its own style. Is fractal to be "it", or just one of the expressions of this incoming era? Only the future will tell us that, but I think that what we see today is merely the earliest start of the germination stage of this style.
Just sometimes, I see a work of fractal art that strikes me as sufficiently different from the majority symmetrical outpourings of an emerging means of expression that it grasps my full attention. The Face is one such work. I do not see a face (squints eyes - nup, no face(grinning)) but instead see a stem with seeds. The merging of colours from outer to inner "borders" is nicely done, and portrays that sense of ripening and approaching maturity.
