These are tracking leading off of the Thomas Viaduct. A little history: The Thomas Viaduct was the largest bridge in the nation in its day and today it remains the world's largest bridge of its kind, as well as the world's oldest multiple arched stone railroad bridge. I'll be posting some pictures of the Viaduct later, had some serious issues with a nasty rainstorm and a train when I was taking these photos.

Oh my Adrienne, this is so great and love the B/W effect it gives these tracks. Love the curve creating such depth and leaves the mind to wonder when they lead to.

What you got wet and the train just missed you ?...B&W gives this an old feel .. Something from the days of steam..R.

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Oh my! Reminds me of an old time movie. I love the curve that hides whatever else is around the corner from us. A rainstorm is one thing, but an issue with a train doesn't sound good. I like the use of b/w on this one.

In other words this is another archetypal [plus very artistic and beautiful]image that all the humans should feel familiar with. I do love it - archetypal things are my passion, OK one of my passions !

waiting for the viaduct, made me curious, dark b/w, a bit fear behind the not knowing where it goes....
