This is one of the many wild ponies at Assateague Island. Every year there is a pony drive from Assateague to Chincoteague Island to auction off some of the wild ponies. The ponies on Assateague are otherwise protected and people are not allowed to pet or feed these ponies.

It doesn't look too wild in this beautiful shot Adrienne. They should have you take the photos for the auction. The horses would bring top dollar.

I think these are supposed to be the decedents of ponies that came off a Spanish Galleon in the 1600s. They really are beautiful animals. Love this shot its perfect!

It has snowed some today and it's bloody cold, -20C wind chill.
