Another from the cemetery. What I liked about this one was the fake flowers that someone put in her hand and the different color of the statue. Enjoy and let me know what you think. Thanks ahead of time for any comments.
A fascinating character study. The somber and cerebral idealization of the hereafter inadvertently clashing with the frivolity of the living. I'm a big graveyard fan too, the older the better and just between us, I prefer them free of plastic. Also, the high contrast you've selected here gives the image a visual punch and sense of dimension that it might not otherwise have had. Good choice.
I really like the colors here too, Adrienne. The flower color compliments the color of the lady. I really like the semi-circular glow of the background sort of spotlighting her. I don't know if that was unintentional or you did that in post work.
I'm a cemetary crawler myself, They are some of the most beautiful outdoor sculpture galleries filled with history and depth you'll ever find. This lady is unique, I've never seen her like. Someone was very influential and wealthy, this was paistaking and detailed down to the musculature and bones of the feet. Thank you for finding this one and presenting her so well.
