OK...need some help with this one. My husband and son dragged this out of the ocean while on vacation. No one knows what it was, even the lifeguards didn't know what it was. This is the only POV that I'm going to post of this on here; due to that other half was eaten by I think a shark. Any ideas what this is?

I don't know but it has sharp teeth of its own. I would hate to see what ate it. Good capture and maybe one of our seafaring comrades will know.

Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.
It is a kind of Ray!...I have 'caught' a few 'smaller' ones in the past, and the taste lovely (With Chips, of course)

goodness, looks like a shark skin with its head punched in. I applaud your bravery in getting it out of the water. If I had seen this while swimming, I would probably have screamed, fainted, and drowned. And yes, nice work on capturing the details and the nice half-and-half division of the image. Makes for a good composition: the thing's coming at-tcha.
