Imposing marble structure a stone's throw from the Roman Forum and down the way from the Colosseum. Opposite in the Piazza is the building & balcony where Mussolini use to speak to the people.

I spent a summer in Rome studying art/architecture and we called this the "typewriter building." It's hard to see why from this angle. You chose a nice perspective for this shot.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the monument built to remember Italian military who have died during times of war. Nice photo and perspective.

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

I absolutely love this building!!! It's called Il Vittoriano. That's short for Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II. It was made to honour Victor Emmanuel, the first king once Italy became unified. Also, it holds the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

I loved seeing this building every day we were in Rome. Unfortunately, we never stopped to check it out and take photos. I'm glad you had the chance.
