Boy, what a hilly town! So many levels and sloping streets, all closely crowded in that beautiful European way. Took this shot on an uphill as you can tell by the wall. Distances are deceiving though - the cathedral on the right is actually quite far away!

Interesting pic...much to see there! I like the colors and the sky is very friendly to photographers! Compositionally, I'd like to see less sky and more rooftops...but not more wall! Also, I might have added an inside frame to obliterate the partial tower on the left. Ideally, swinging the camera a bit over the wall and to the left to get the cathedral in the center would be great from my point of view. However, I was not there! I have no idea how feasible changing the camera angle would be. Good light and shadow work also.

I agree.
Maybe it would have been better if there was less wall and skye, but it is still a good shot!

Sienna is in Italy, just outside of Florence. Historically, it's known for it's famous 400 yr old annual horse race in the town square and also for it's brick structures where the colour 'burnt Sienna' comes from. As for the shot, I do wish I could've been higher above that wall and had more buildings in the shot, but this actually on the 'back end' of the city - well, kind of considering that it's a walled city that kind of has no real front end! Thanks for the tips though:)
