End of the day on the Arno in Florence - the light of the day fading into the soft glows of twilight. And yet this is when the treasured city is truly at its best, when the business of the day is over and one ventures into another perfect Tuscan evening. Start with a warm patio and perfect pasta, finish with ethereally good gelato and a smile - is there anywhere else to be?

As others mention the reflection in the water is really a good detail in this picture. The buildings create a great contrast to the still water in the river.
