ItÂ’s hard to imagine that small towns like this, tucked away in valleys away from the larger UK cities were the cradle of the modern industrial world. They were the home to textile mills, first running on water power from their rivers, & later on steam power. I liked the way the workers cottages in the background seem to defy gravity, stacked in every direction up the hillsides. Image is of the former mill town of Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, now largely home to a thriving artistÂ’s community. Hope you enjoy it.

Very nice! I live in a town that was the center of American Colonial life for a long time...an inland shipping port when the river was much deeper. Now it has become an artist's colony and collection of antique "shoppes" (or "junque"). Its as if some places attract creative people...whether in business enterprise or in making things. Is that the actual mill in the photo? And is it now a museum of sorts? Oh.. I see the tables and chairs...I bet it is a restaurant/pub. I am admiring those straight vertical lines, having just been through a somewhat frustrating exercise in distortion correction recently.

Nice place. I like the colours and the lights. Maybe I would cut off the half man from the left side of the foreground... Anyway, good work!
